Start by cleaning and drying every item properly. Dust and moisture trapped under wrapping create avoidable damage over time. For wood and upholstered pieces, breathable protective layers are usually safer than aggressive plastic-only wrapping.
Disassemble where practical, label hardware clearly, and avoid stacking heavy items on polished surfaces. Elevation from the floor and stable placement matter more than many customers expect.
If the furniture is high-value or difficult to replace, storage conditions and handling discipline should be part of the plan from day one, not a correction made after damage appears.
